2022 Year in Review is a roundup of our most popular shops, posts and new features. A year that saw the world reopen to travel and discovery, though due to economic issues a year that continued to be challenging for independent shops and small businesses. The world of retail continues to evolve, with more purchases than ever been made online. Yet we still believe in championing the world of independent shops, and we believe that now, more than ever, it is vital that we support small shops so as many as possible thrive. None of us want to see more boarded-up and empty shopfronts. Small business are the backbone of our communities. They add integrity and vitality to our villages, towns and cities. So please support independent stores, shopping and sharing your local small businesses – whether IRL or online.
As well as our ever-popular Best Shop List, 2022 saw us collaborate with The Gloss to compile a list of the Best Shops Ireland – a list including more than 140 shops ranging from bookstores to food shops, Jewelry shops to vintage stores.
The Shopkeepers Candles, that take you on an olfactory journey of our favorite shops and our Spotify Playlists share the music played in some of our favorite coffee, plant and bookshops. We are excited to be 200K+ strong on Instagram.
