Artists & Fleas are artist, designer and vintage markets with locations in NYC and LA. Artists & Fleas was established in Williamsburg in 2003 by husband and wife, Amy Abrams and Ronen Glimer. The market has grown from it’s initial 20 vendors and has expanded to four locations, Brooklyn and Chelsea in New York, and Venice and the Arts District in Los Angeles. There is a constantly rotating cast of merchants at each market, ensuring there are always new creations for customers to discover. The Shopkeepers
Growing up Amy Abrams loved Heart’s Desire, an amazing shop selling vintage jewelry, that created an unforgettable shopping experience that she recalls in detail. Nowadays Amy enjoys traveling and shopping around the world with her husband, Ronen Glimer. They love discovering incredible markets and shops together, their favourites being in Jaipur, Marrakesh, Delhi, Tel Aviv, and Paris. They cherish the beautiful treasures they have purchased on their travels, and the memories these objects evoke. The creation of Artists & Fleas thirteen years ago was informed by these experiences. Amy and Ronen wanted to create a market to showcase cool stuff, and that is a fun place for people to gather. They were thrilled when they realized that the vendors were making a living from selling at Artists & Fleas. Amy and Ronen enjoy being surrounded by creative people who love what they do. They are happy they have created a business that is meaningful, has an impact on those who sell and those who shop.
