WHAT WE LOVE

Sweetleaf Coffee Roasters was established in 2008 by Queens native Rich Nieto who wanted to roast coffee that reflects New York City's diverse, sophisticated and unique character. The first Sweetleaf location opened on Jackson Avenue, initially only 300 square feet it has since tripled in size.

In 2013 Sweetleaf opened its second location along Long Island City's waterfront and a third location in neighboring Greenpoint in 2015. All three coffee shops have a distinctive aesthetic favoring vintage industrial interiors with reclaimed wood, exposed brick, an eclectic range of French antiques and comfortable seating.

The Greenpoint location is also home to Sweetleaf's roasting and production facility.

"Great coffee isn't just consumed; it's experienced. At Sweetleaf, we are continually experimenting and refining to create a distinct experience that sets us apart."
