WHAT WE LOVE
The 45-foot high ceiling at bookshop Livraria Ler Devagar makes for an impressively high bookcase. Located in Lisbon's LX Factory, a historical industrial complex, the bookstore has a collection of over 40,000 new titles and nearly 10,000 second-hand books. Suspended over the bookstore is a white cyclist kinetic sculpture adding to the unique bookshop's unique atmosphere. There are also gallery spaces for temporary and permanent exhibitions. Founded in 1999, Livraria Ler Devagar moved into its current home in 2009. Ler Devagar translates to Read Slowly and is one of the most celebrated bookshops in the world.
