WHAT WE LOVE

The OG store for timeless, functional products, Labour and Wait, was founded on East London's Cheshire Street in 2000. The iconic green-tiled former Truman Brewery pub called the Dolphin became home to Labour and Wait in 2010 when they required more space.

Established by Rachel Wythe-Moran and Simon Watkins, both designers with menswear backgrounds, who have worked with specialist makers from around the globe to create a collection of everyday classics. "Products that fitted their ethos of functionality, quality and honesty." Together they have curated a selection of timeless household, hardware, stationery, accessories, and clothing goods that will withstand the test of time.

Labour and Wait has inspired a whole genre of shops that carry timeless, classic, functional and well-made wares for everyday living.

"The original local shop for timeless, functional products for over 20 years."
