WHAT WE LOVE

Christopher Howe opened his first shop on London's Bourne Street in 1986. The Goldsmith’s Art College graduate used the shop as a work /living situation, living above the storefront he used as a workshop for his furniture restoration and gilding business. Christopher Howe's passion for collecting meant the small shop quickly filled up with antique finds from markets and auctions. Outgrowing the Bourne Street location, a second premises was opened on nearby Pimlico Road in 1995.

The larger premises on Pimlico Road showcases an eclectic selection of antiques and home decor as well as the Made by Howe collection of furniture and lighting. The Made by Howe collection of bespoke furniture is inspired the craftsmanship and traditions of 17th, 18th, and 19th century antiques.

The original Howe store on Bourne Street houses a collection of traditional leathers, new and vintage textiles, trimmings, and wallpapers. In 2019, as the Howe collection of antiques and bespoke furniture continued to expand, a 7,000 square foot warehouse was opened in Battersea. Easily recognized by the giant Jack Russell painted on the metal roller shutter and the pretty striped awning.

Three locations showcasing a vast selection of unique antiques, beautifully crafted bespoke furniture and decor pieces, and new and vintage textiles.
