The Hideout Chai Bar was founded in 2016 by New Yorker Christopher Bunet. The Hideout Chai Bar is a craft chai brewing company, using oat milk and spices, creating drinks that are vegan, dairy free, non GMO, and gluten free. As well as classic chai, The Hideout Chai Bar also offers signature nitro-brewed chai and teas (which are also available to order).

The minimalist interior is influenced by Christopher's passion for design featuring street art and krink influences, ceramics by San Francisco- based Heath, furniture by Danish design studio, Frama, and nitro glassware by Japanese manufacturer Toyo Sasaki.
