Série Limitée LOUISE is a French online shop selling kitchen textiles. Created in 2015 by Louise Jourdan-Gassin, she selects vintage photography that is screen printed onto 100% stone washed linen. The line is made in France and sold through her online store and around the world in independent shops. Her first collection was simply tea towels and has now grown to include aprons, napkins and linen bags which are ideal for carrying groceries.

The Shopkeeper

Louise Jourdan-Gassin believes that the simple things in life can bring one joy. Growing up in Nice, Louise enjoyed a slower pace of life in the South of France. Time is taken to enjoy going to the market and relish the pleasure of preparing a delicious meal to be shared with family and friends. This lifestyle is what inspired Louise to create linens for her favourite room in the house, the kitchen.  She believes everything should be beautiful, special and serene. Louise is inspired by brocantes and flea markets, always searching for knick knacks that reveal memories, beautiful illustrations or old pictures that captivate her. The linen that Louise uses in her collections is carefully chosen, for it’s supple, soft and fine hand which gets softer with use. Louise’s favourite flea markets include les puces de St-Ouen, les puces de Montreuil in the Paris area, le marché aux puces du cours Saleya in Nice and the Brooklyn flea. A great lover of food, she could spend hours strolling through the Broadway Market in London. Favourite shops include Foundouk Chajra Tanger, Morocco, Cabane in Nice, Merci in Paris and ABC carpet & home in New York.

On Finding Inspiration in The Little Things

“I started working with tea towels, which up to now were forsaken objects. I think that today, we want everything to be beautiful and useful in our Home.”
