Specialty coffee shop, Nomad Coffee Barcelona, was founded by award-winning barista Jordi Mestre. After two years working in some of London's best coffee shops, Jordi set up his own coffee cart in 2011 serving coffee at the city's leading markets. Returning to Spain, he opens Nomad Coffee Lab in 2014.

Today Nomad Coffee has their own roastery and ships beans to leading coffee shops around the world. They operate two Barcelona coffee shops, the original shop, serving solely coffee drinks, hides behind an urban jungle of potted plants on the well-known Passatge Sert in the Born quarter. The second, Frutas Selectas in Poblenou also has a selection of bread, takeaway by Caravanmade and fresh fruit.
