Morgan Lane is a luxury lingerie and sleepwear online shop. Morgan Curtis, founder and designer, launched the site in 2013. Inspired by her younger sister, Morgan created and illustrated a doll named Lanie as the brand’s muse. Lanie embodies the playfulness, enchantment, seduction and mischief, which define the Morgan Lane girl. Lanie appears on the hang tags, in prints and embroidered on eye masks. Morgan Lane is manufactured in New York City using European fabrics; lace from France, cotton from Switzerland and stretch fabrics from Italy. Customers range in age from 20 to 55, and come from around the world, Paris London, Tokyo and New York. Women who love fashion and want everything they wear to be special, including their underwear.
Morgan Curtis grew up in the fashion business. The daughter of designer Jill Stuart, she learnt everything from her mother. Morgan held various roles at Jill Stuart, from working in the shop, to Director of Fabrics, to designer. She also designed and launched the women’s collection at Solid and Striped. Morgan is inspired by art, and starts designing each collection by drawing prints, which are interpreted into the details of each collection. Morgan does most of her shopping online, and so it was an obvious choice to open an online Morgan Lane shop. For Morgan there are many advantages to having an online shop. She loves the accessibility, a shop that can showcase her entire collection and the ability to manage her shop from wherever she is in the world.
